As an Air Wing Senior Division ’C’ Certificate holder of the National Cadet Corps, you can apply to the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force. Men & women can join the Air Force through this mode of entry. Permanent Commission offered for men and Short Service Commission for men and women.

  • Forms- May and December
  • Exam- February& September
  • SSB (AFCAT-I) – September to November

SSB (AFCAT –II) – March to May

  • FOR FLYING BRANCH : Degree from a recognized university With least 60 % & 12th Passed with 60% marks average Physics & Maths
  • For Ground Duty Technical: Degree from a recognized university With least60 % marks
  • For Ground Duty Non-Technical: Degree from a recognized indian University with Physics , Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistic, I.R. ,Defence studies, Psychology, C.S. , IT, Management , M. Com etc. with a 50% marks in aggregate all papers put together in Post Graduation and 60% Marks in Graduation
  • FLYING :Min 20 to Max 24 years Men/ Women (On the date of joining)
  • TECHNICAL/ GROUND DUTY: Min 20 to Max 26 years( On the date of joining)
  • Online Written Examination conducted by Indian Air Force at their Base near city or town
  • AFSB Interview by anyone of 4 Air Force Selection Board (AFSB)
